‘Sidi Ifni’, named for a city in southwestern Morocco on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, is derived from two stripe paintings of the same name in the Moroccan Paintings series of 1964-65. Larger-scaled than the album prints, but utilising their characteristic off-centering, ‘Sidi Ifni’ anticipates the expansion of the album prints format in ‘Sinjerli Variations’.
